During March 2017 I was bit traveling through Balkans and because Dubrovnik was on our way from Mostar to Kotor, we’ve decided to spend there some time. Although Dubrovnik is one of southernmost cities of Croatia (very close to the border with Montenegro) I could hardly say that it’s a Balkans thing.
Sure, Dubrovnik has lots of features why it is beautiful city: seaside, on the list of UNESCO, lovely old town and mountains with spectaculars views, but on the other hand the city is full of tourists and what I was missing the most was the unique atmosphere of the city. It was all about expensive restaurants and posh cafes. It seemed like only tourists are actually living the city.
